PIN takes part in “Home of the Brave” Campaign Supporting Our Veterans
We were proud and humbled to have the opportunity to give back to our heroic Veterans at this year’s Home of the Brave event in Denver.
It can be easy at times to get caught up in our own work and take what we have for granted. But at PIN, our business model is founded on community engagement. That’s why, with Veterans’ Day coming up, we decided to take some time to give back to those who have sacrificed everything.
Home of the Brave is an annual, nationwide campaign with a simple mission: to thank those we owe for our freedom. This year, we couldn’t pass up the chance to partner with the organization to give back to our ex-service members and promote Veteran community service.
The event took place at the spectacular new VA hospital in Denver — a true tribute to those who served! We got the chance to see the facility while meeting some of our remarkable Veterans and handing out t-shirts, blankets and snacks.
Founded in 2012, Home of the Brave partners with Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service (VAVS), the VA Homeless Program, Soldiers’ Angels and corporate partners to honor Veterans at VA medical facilities; volunteering for events, visiting patients and donating much needed items in celebration of Veterans’ Day.
The organization and its partners organize Veteran community initiatives, rally supporters to purchase Honor Packs and blankets to help homeless Veterans and those in need, celebrate Veteran employees and raise funds to purchase t-shirts and thank you cards for every Veteran at VA medical facilities across the country.
